Your ads have stopped and your enquiries have stopped with them. What happens over the next few days decides whether the account comes back. Most of the damage is done by advertisers reacting before they understand what they are reacting to.
No cost. A straight answer within one business day on whether it is recoverable.
Read your suspension email
Both are recoverable. They are not recoverable the same way, and an appeal built for one will fail against the other. This is the single most common reason a first appeal is rejected.
A short list of policies triggers an immediate suspension with no strike sequence and no warning email. If your notice names one of these, this is your route.
These are the harder cases and they are the ones most often written off. They are not hopeless. What they require is a demonstrated root cause, evidence that it has been fixed, and an appeal that addresses the specific detection rather than arguing fairness. Built properly, they come back.
Everything outside that list runs on strikes. No strike is issued for a first violation. Three strikes maximum: a three-day hold, then a seven-day hold, then suspension.
Google sends a warning naming the violation and the remedy available at least seven days before suspending. If you received that email, this is your route, and the remedy is usually named in it.
Billing suspensions sit apart again: unpaid balance, a chargeback, promotional code abuse, or suspicious payment activity. Usually the fastest of the three to resolve.
Not sure which route your notice puts you on?

Google states that new accounts created by a suspended advertiser may also be suspended, along with accounts sharing an email address, a payment method or a manager account. This converts one recoverable account into several dead ones and attaches a circumventing systems flag to your name. It is the most damaging thing available to you today.
An account suspension is not an ad disapproval. Changing, pausing or deleting ads clears nothing. A suspended account is read-only in any case: you can appeal, verify, pay, cancel and claim a refund, and very little else.
It does not accelerate anything. Google's documentation states that where it detects misuse of the appeals function, it will suspend processing of appeals for seven days. Three appeals submitted in one anxious afternoon costs you a week.
Some advertisers must complete advertiser verification before they are permitted to appeal at all. Google states that after three failed attempts they will not be allowed to appeal. It is the hardest deadline in the process and it appears in an FAQ, not in your suspension email.
If one of these has already happened, the case is harder but not over.
Get it reviewedHow this works
Six questions about the notice and what changed in the business before it arrived. Answered within one business day with a read on the likely cause and whether it is worth pursuing.
If it is worth pursuing, read-only access to the account and a look at the site. The real cause is rarely the one the advertiser expects, and it is not visible from outside.
What actually triggered it, what has to change on the account and the site before an appeal can succeed, and the evidence to submit alongside it.
Drafted and submitted once the account is genuinely ready for re-review, then managed through to the decision.

The notice you received and what changed in the business before it arrived are usually enough to identify the cause. No account access needed to answer these, and you get a reply within one business day.
Thanks — that's come through.

Nineteen years in search marketing. Eight of them running my own agency, sold in 2021. Four years managing seven-figure United States advertising accounts in consumer credit, a category Google scrutinises hardest.
In that industry, compliance, suspensions, disapprovals and verification reviews are a frequent occurrence and a condition of operating.

Questions
No. Google decides. What can be committed to is an honest read on whether the case is arguable, a correctly identified root cause, and an appeal built around the actual detection rather than around fairness.
Google states that all advertisers have at least six months from the date of suspension. That is the outer limit rather than a plan. If verification is required before you can appeal, the three-attempt limit can close the route far sooner.
Google said in November 2025 that 99% of suspensions are resolved within twenty-four hours. Advertisers continue to report far longer waits. Expect days, plan for longer, and do not submit a second appeal while the first is open.
Common, and not a defence Google recognises. Accounts are suspended on detection, and a never-used account can be suspended on its first review, usually over duplicate accounts or billing signals rather than anything in the ads.
Yes. A suspended account is read-only but you can still cancel it and request a refund of the unused balance. Do that only after deciding not to pursue reinstatement, because cancelling closes the account.
